Shire City Fire Cider To The Rescue!

The Holiday season is just beginning, and amidst all of the excitement, hustle and bustle, we’re constantly on the go.The extra traveling, staying up late to chat with friends and family, catching up on extra work before the year’s end, and attending events makes the perfect cocktail for a seasonal cold.

Here is a delicious and refreshing, fresh juice beverage that is just the thing to pack in your bag when you feel a tickle of the winter blues coming on. Our Citrus Fire Zinger is a powerful blend of *Fire Cider African Bronze, cinnamon, ginger and cayenne, and you’ll get a vitamin C kick from the fresh orange and lemon.

This takes all of 10 minutes to whip up in your blender, and you can strain it out it a nut milk bag, a few layers of cheesecloth, or even a thin kitchen towel.

Serves: 4-6 people  Prep time: 10 minutes

2 Tbsp Fire Cider African Bronze

2 oranges, peeled and quartered

1 lemon, quartered (skin on) – make sure to wash under hot water to remove dirt

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/8 tsp cayenne powder

6 C filtered water

Peel your oranges, and chop them into quarters. Place them in a blender. Keeping the skin on, quarter the lemon and add it with the orange in the blender.

Pour in the Fire Cider African Bronze, cinnamon, ginger, and cayenne. Top everything with water and blend for 2 minutes on high speed, or until the mixture is smooth.

Place the nut milk bag, cheesecloth or towel over a large bowl. Pour the mixture from the blender over the towel or bag and ring it out to get all of the excess juice from the bits of rind and lemon skin. You want the mixture to be totally liquid, like juice. If any particles remain, strain again.

Serve in 8-16oz. servings and let the mixture chill in the fridge for up to two days to maintain freshness.
